About Me
I’m a former radio and TV reporter, but years ago my husband said I “got smart” and dipped my toe in strategic communications. All roads led to my current role managing media relations for the City of Minneapolis, and I commute most days to City Hall (I’m counting down the days to when construction on 35W is complete!). I’ve been part of the most wonderful things in the City, while also wading through some of the worst and most trying of my career, including the tragedy at Annunciation School last summer and Operation Metro Surge.Much of my “off time” is chauffeuring the kids around to different activities, attending performances of any kind (I cry at all of them) and cheering on the Lakers at any sporting event. Man, I love watching our Lakers do what they love!
My Family
My husband, Jay, and I are proud Laker parents to two kiddos. Despite all efforts to keep them little, they just keep growing. Our son, Jax, is a 12-year-old, sports-obsessed, Croc-wearing, red-headed, curly-haired, sometimes showering goofball that makes us laugh. His feelings are his superpower, and his second home is the ballfield.
Kenzie is our sophomore who never stops moving or Instagramming. She’s a singer, performer and actress, and loves being on a stage. She fell in love with Speech as a freshman, loves being part of the choral program at the HS and will begin her second year on Student Council. She’s a kid with 20 different groups of friends and is fiercely loyal to everyone in them. We’re convinced she’ll be president one day.
